What is Shave operation?
The `shave` operation is used to remove a specified number of pixels from the edge of an image. It's similar to the `crop` operation, but instead of specifying the dimensions of the remaining image, you specify the dimensions of the area to remove.
For example, 20 `Left Right` and 20 `Top Bottom` specifies that 20 pixels should be removed from each side of the image.
Please note that the `shave` operation removes the same number of pixels from all sides of the image. If you want to remove a different number of pixels from each side, you should use the `chop` operation instead.
What are the uses of Shave operation?
The `shave` operation has several uses, particularly in image processing tasks:
1. Image Resizing: The `shave` operation can be used to effectively resize an image by removing a certain number of pixels from all sides of the image.
2. Removing Borders: If an image has a border that you want to remove, the `shave` operation can be used. This is particularly useful when the border is of a uniform width.
3. Image Preprocessing: The `shave` operation can be used as a preprocessing step in image processing tasks. For example, before applying certain algorithms, it might be beneficial to remove extra space around the image.
4. Automating Image Editing: If you have a batch of images that need to have their borders or extra whitespace removed, you can use the `shave` operation in a script to automate the process.
